Fleadh na gCuach
May 1 to May 4, 2009 This year’s poster was designed by local artist and musician, Cath Taylor. A limited edition of prints by Cath will be available over the weekend from Connolly’s Bar. 7pm Official Opening of Fleadh na gCuach at Murphy’s Store on the Quay. Music by Paul Gunning, Paul Corbett and Alan Wallace. The committee is delighted that the 2009 Cuckoo Festival will be officially launched by John Griffin. John has generously hosted numerous great sessions in the (late) Ould Plaid Shawl over the years. We are pleased to welcome musicians and dancers from Kinvara’s twin town in Brittany, Locoal Mendon, who will be performing on the quay at 7.45pm (weather permitting).
