Located just outside the picturesque harbour village of Kinvara in quiet rural setting where a
warm welcome and personal attention are guaranteed. "Mountain View" is an ideal base from which
to tour the limestone landscape of the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher and Ailwee Caves.
We can also help to organise a boat trip to the Aran Islands or a medieval banquet at nearby Dunguaire Castle. Galway city is only a half hour's drive away and of course a trip to Connemara is an ideal way to spend a day. You can also visit Coole Park, Gort, which was home to Lady Gregory, one of the founders of the Abbey Theatre, and Thoor Ballylee which was the summer home of W.B. Yeats, one of our great poets. You can also visit Kilmacduagh with its monastic settlement and round tower. There are two championship golf courses within driving distance. We have a lovely Blue Flag beach close to Kinvara, also fishing and horse riding and of course Shannon Airport is only 1 hours drive. Kinvara has many excellent restaurants & bars, and traditional Irish music can be found somewhere most nights. We recently received a Bord Failte, Irish Welcomes Award because of the many recommendations received from our guests who have holidayed here. We offer spacious ensuite bedrooms with TV, hairdryers, clock radios, power showers and choice of breakfast.
